Here’s a sampling of some goodies I recently added to the shop:

It is true that I have been working very intently since the summer, really trying to develop my more illustrative, creative ware and push my boundaries. This holiday season, too, I’ll be focusing on the Etsy shop and not doing as many in-person sales events as I did last year.

And so…I just want to build up some suspense, because I’m holding a promotion on Thanksgiving weekend! You will have to check back on Friday to find out what it is, and I think it will be a delightful surprise!

Meanwhile I seem to be building a little momentum: I’ve appeared on the Etsy homepage several times recently, and it’s earned me 270 hearts as of today. I’ve almost made the 100 sales mark too! It’s very exciting, and I’m working hard to keep promoting. I am considering buying a cooperative Etsy ad spot in CRAFT magazine that would be showing up this fall, I’m trying to get up the nerve to write to some blogs about my products, and I’m donating 30 of my Poem Drop Pendants to the sampler giveaway going on at Brownie’s Vintage in Berkeley, CA on August 15th. I’m in the middle of making them right now!

Oh, and as you can see, I’ve made a new banner for here, as well as for my shop and Etsy user icon, to more correctly represent current crafty focus. (Nice alliteration, huh?)

Meanwhile I recently made an Alchemy request for some new skincare products, and I couldn’t believe the outpouring of responses I got. Not just bids, but just general Conversations from other Etsy users about things that had worked for them. It was really awesome and reminded me about how much I like the Etsy community as a whole. I ended up accepting bids from Swan Mountain Soaps, Tamara’s Herbs (I also got a sample of her Hair Therapy product), Greenberry Soaps and Botanicals, Unico’s Cauldron, and am currently figuring out exactly what I want from Parrot Feathers. I’ll be sure and let y’all know how all that turns out!

So, I’m kind of saving the best news for last, but–I just found out that my Weathered Green Handmade Ceramic Shank Buttons are getting featured in tomorrow’s Etsy Finds e-mail! I’ve never gotten publicity on that scale before, so I’m mega-excited. Yay!
